Hills and Valleys

Life is a series of hills and valleys.

One day you're up.

The next, you're down.

Don't be afraid to explore your valleys.

Don't be afraid to hold your head up and march right through them.

You will never see the sun shining from the top of the hill unless you first make your way up it.

Never give into sadness. It is your enemy.

Never give in to giving up for you will fail if you do.

Ride your storm like the wild bronco that it is, for even the wildest stallion can still be tamed.

So too, your time spent searching the dark paths of your valleys.

You might find yourself in the midst of a cloud burst, and if you do, I suggest...

Turn your umbrella upside down.

Let it fill itself with the rain that falls. Fill it until it is full.

Then flip your umbrella over, and let the cool water that you have collected bathe you with each and every refreshing drop.

And then I want you to pick yourself up, march right back up that hill and warm yourself by the noon day sun!
